St.James is one of the churches in the parish of Warblington with Emsworth,
in the Anglican Diocese of Portsmouth,
part of the Church of England.
Our church building dates back to 1840,
when it was built to replace the small St. Peter's chapel.
Every Sunday Christians meet to worship God in St. James' Church.
While we are a parish in the Church of England,
we co-operate as much as possible with other Christians in Emsworth. Much of this is done
through the Emsworth Christian Council.
We have an active ministry with children and young people,
beginning with Toddler Time then through the Junior Church, Pathfinders, Messy Church, J-Team, and
extending to St. James' Church School (see links on sidebar).
Adults regularly find and deepen their faith through our Alpha courses, Christianity Explored, and The Bible Story.
